Dr. Jessie Stone is a member of the US Freestyle Kayak Team and a Medical Doctor. In 2003, Jessie was kayaking the White Nile in Uganda when two members of her expedition contracted severe cases of malaria. While treating her fellow paddlers, Jessie became acutely aware of the devastating effects of the disease on Ugandans. In 2004, Jessie founded Soft Power Health to provide malaria education, prevention and control for the people of Uganda.
